What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-moulded aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. These aligners are virtually invisible and can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing, offering a more convenient and discreet alternative to traditional braces.

Invisalign can treat any of the following:

  • Crooked teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Crowded teeth

The clear choice for a straighter smile

Our ideal Invisalign client desires a confident smile without the visibility of metal braces. Invisalign offers a solution that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle, allowing you to achieve the smile you've always wanted without compromising your appearance during treatment.

The Process

1- Consultation - A comprehensive and detailed assessment of the face, teeth and jaw as well as dental x rays are carried out.. We will also discuss you main concerns and how achievable the results are. Your teeth will be digitally scanned and a  before and after picture can be seen

2- ClinCheck (simulation) - I will plan your smile with my team of Orthodontists and generate a simulation of the movements. This will show the weekly movements of your teeth and also the end result.  At this visit we can see how long the treatment will take, where we will need to create space and also where attachments will be needed

3- Aligner fit- This is the start of your treatment. Attachments will be placed and space created where required. I will fit the first retainer in and show you how to insert and remove. Instructions will also be given on how to wear and look after your aligners.

4- Composite bonding - At the end of your aligner treatment,  discrepancies can be fixed with composite bonding to give you the perfect smile.

5- Retainers- You will receive your retainers to wear daily/nightly.

Invisalign FAQ's

How does Invisalign work?

You wear a series of custom-made aligners, each designed to move your teeth slightly. You switch to a new set of aligners every 1–2 weeks until your teeth are in their desired positions.

Is Invisalign as effective as braces?

Yes — for mild to moderate orthodontic cases, Invisalign is just as effective. However, complex cases (like severe crowding or bite issues) may still require traditional braces or a hybrid approach.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Most treatments take 6 to 18 months, but it varies depending on the complexity of your case and how consistently you wear the aligners.

How long do I need to wear aligners each day?

You should wear Invisalign aligners for around 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink (except water), brush, and floss.

Does Invisalign hurt?

You may feel mild pressure or discomfort when switching to a new set of aligners, but this usually lasts only a couple of days. It’s a sign your teeth are moving!

Can I eat and drink with Invisalign?

You must remove your aligners to eat or drink anything other than water. This prevents staining, warping, and bacterial buildup.

How do I clean Invisalign aligners?

* Rinse and brush them daily with a soft toothbrush (no toothpaste)

* Use Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or gentle soap and lukewarm water

* Avoid hot water (it can warp the plastic)

What if I lose or damage an aligner?

Contact your dentist or orthodontist immediately.

What happens after Invisalign treatment ends?

You’ll need to wear a retainer to maintain your results — often nightly. Without a retainer, teeth can shift back.
